Northeast route - The most beautiful mountain villages and excellent food – “Patones”, “El Hayedo de Montejo” (Declared National Interest Site and Biosphere Reserves in 2005) and the wonderful walled town of “Buitrago de Lozoya” are some stops. The medieval villages of "Riaza" and "Ayllón" in Segovia province could be visited as well in this route.


Northwest route - At the foot of the mountains – “Cerdecilla”, “Manzanares El Real” (and its impressive fifteenth century castle) or “El Escorial” where is placed its breathtaking Monastery, considered the eighth wonder of the world, speak about the historical heritage of this route.
